Match Preview: Nazareth up against Inter Allies

What a match it will be at the Ho Sports Stadium later at 3:00 pm when former Premier League side, Inter Allies meet Aflao’s very own, Nazareth FC to kickstart their Division One campaign.

So much will be at stake, bragging rights will mean a lot for both teams.

Below is the preview and head-to-head of both teams.

NAZARETH FC

It was not a coincidence for team Nazareth FC to appear in the middle league for the first time. A dent of hard work was seen in their performance as they made the historic qualification to the middle league in the second season after qualifying from Division Three.

The 3 pm match will have a lot to talk about especially as Nazareth FC comes up against last season’s finalist who was denied by the decision of a spot kick.

Nazareth FC will be looking to make an impact and of course, will aim at going all out to play it all with Inter Allies who are tipped to be the tournament favorite.

The Dzodze lads will need to repeat their great performance in the league where they devoid all odds to win 8 games in 14 matches. They topped their zones with 29 points ahead of Agbozume Weavers who came second while losing only ones in their journey to the middle league.

INTER ALLIES

It was a moment of disappointment for the Tampico boys last season when they missed out the qualification to the division one in the penalty shootout against Home Stars FC. For Inter Allies to come back into the Middle League again means they have put all behind them and are prepared to write another story.

Unlike last season when they went unbeaten at their zone, Inter Allies this season hasn’t been that flamboyant as they saw two defeats while drawing 4. They ended up leading the log with 34 points after 10 wins in 16 matches.

Despite being a former premier league side, Inter Allies will have to rely on their hard work than name to make a difference. They will have all reasons to prove their qualification is sealed by their performance on the field.

HEAD TO HEAD

Both Nazareth FC and Inter Allies will be meeting for the first time.

Nazareth FC out of 14 games played had 21 goals and conceded 12. (W8, D5, L1)

Inter Allies has seen 32 goals in their basket with 34 points to its credit. They won 10 games (W10, D4, L2 ).
