The stadium will be ready for the two teams to show case what they have under their sleeves at 3pm this Sunday with much of an entertaining soccer for the hundreds of fans who will converge at the Ho Sports Stadium.
WAFA
It was obvious that the Sogakope based team will reach the middle league with ease after what they showed in the division two league. A free scoring WAFA is has the tendency to score any number of goals and it came as a no surprise to many that know what WAFA is made of after registering what could be the highest goal record a team under the Volta FA has ever scored in a season. They went away with a total of 73 goals conceding only 3 in the league. (W13, D2, L0). WAFA posseses alot of threat up front and coming to the middle league, they will want to keep that record of not losing a single game. It will be interesting to know that WAFA had 41 points out of 15 games.
Keta FC
It was a historic moment for the Keta School boys to have made one a time qualification to this year’s middle league. Their qualification was sealed after an emphatic 3-2 win over Agbozume Weavers at the Sub Middle League stage.
It was Keta FC who emerged the second best from their zones with an enviable record of 8 wins. (W8, D5, L3). They had 29 points from 16 games to write a good story of themselves.
HEAD TO HEAD
This has always been a case of a first time between the two sides. Much as there is a lot to go home with, the pitch will decide who will control the pace as the expectation to have a beautiful football from the two sides is non-negotiable.
WAFA had seen most games on their favorite grounds known as the Astro turf while Keta FC has seen the hard way by playing from the natural grass. However, a neutral ground for the two sides is definiIt’s going to be a factor with the two who will be testing the Ho Sports Stadium for the first time.
