Akatsi Kickers FC will be up against Nadm SC who impressed really well in their second group game against Kpetoe Diamond FC. This afternoon at 1pm will be a show of who owns the bragging rights in the bid to end all Group A games ahead of the final on Sunday.
KICKERS FC
Kickers managed to win their second game against unimpressive Aveyime Soccer Wonders FC to give them a certain hope of making the grand finale.
Their hope for Kpetoe Diamond FC to lose their second game could have given them some assurance in the final group A game. But for this time, all hope is lost especially when Kpetoe Diamond FC has six points in their basket and already qualifies to the grand finale with a game in hand at 3pm.
A game against Nadm this afternoon should be nothing than a bragging rights and a chance to stand a better head to head.
Kickers since from their first game has nailed it with a good performance despite losing it on first game. Their second game was an improved version of the first which the believe was that, should they make an appearance in the middle league again, a different story will be written of them .
A game this afternoon against Nadm SC though will not carry weight and will be of no consequences to effect a change of who qualifies, it is up to Kickers to go all out and win to keep their name in the record books of a team to amass six points and not able to make a slot to the grand finale, such circumstances are rare especially when Volta FA Division Two is Middle League is concerned.
NADM SC
Nadm SC has distinguished themselves really well in this contest. It is rather an unfortunate situation for them not to have been able to maintain their 1-0 lead over Kpetoe Diamond FC.
It is likely to believe that, they never saw it coming after throwing the first shot in the net against the Kpetoe lads, at least that win could have salvage a lot of hope in the process of qualifying should they win against Kickers.
But that is certainly a wish and not a reality especially as the past cannot be be altered for them.
Nadm SC regardless of the outcome of today’s encounter with Kickers, should be able to smile because they will definitely have a taste of the National MTN FA Cup next season, that should be a consolation for them when they meet WAFA in the final at Hohoe.
A team that was more hopeful to qualify was Nadm, but the group which they found themselves in becomes quite a difficult one for them and that denied their dream.
For a team to be able to possess and dictate a first half pace should not find it difficult against Kickers who love to sit and make a counter.
For who to win the bragging rights, Kickers and Nadm should be able to go all out this afternoon at 1pm.
