The Volta Regional Football Association kicked off the second Volta FA Trophy Tour on Monday 18 May 2026 in Yadzo, Oti Region.
Welcomed by the Kadjebi District Football Association, the trophy tour team arrived to a colourful and vibrant community of football lovers eager to see their side push for Division One qualification as the trophy was unveiled.

The brief but impactful ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, community members, players, chief imams, pastors and chiefs of the town, including Togbe Agbla Anthony, Chief of Yadzo.
The playing body of Yadzo Oti Warriors were presented with medals for winning the Northern Sector championship.

Representatives from the team pledged to work hard to bring the trophy to Yadzo for the first time, after four previous qualification attempts.
Volta RFA Chairman Mr Daniel Agbogah encouraged the team and thanked the Yadzo community for embracing the development of football in the area.

He also spoke about the partnership with the Forestry Commission on environmental protection and climate change mitigation, a key project for this year’s League.
A symbolic tree-planting ceremony was held in support of the climate change initiative, led by Mr Agbogah and the team captain.

The trophy tour will visit all eight districts and municipalities whose teams have qualified for the Middle League, promoting grassroots football across the region.
The next stop is Kwamekrom.
