The Volta FA mourns the passing of Mohammed Haruna Muniru, President of Yadzo Oti Warriors FC, who passed away at dawn today, 22nd May 2026.
A passionate supporter of grassroots football in the Volta & Oti regions, he will be remembered for his commitment to developing young talent and uniting communities through the game.
In his honour, the upcoming Middle League will observe the following
• A minute’s silence before every Middle League match
• Black armbands for all players and officials
•Today’s launch & tree planting postponed to 29th May
Our thoughts are with his family, Yadzo Oti Warriors FC, and the entire football fraternity.
