The Volta FA U-17 Inter-District Championship kicked off at the Youth Resource Center on Thursday, August 20, 2026, with four matches.
Nkwanta South and South Tongu recorded convincing wins in Group A, while Adaklu District edged Kadjebi District on penalties in Group B.
South Tongu posted the biggest win of the day with an 8-1 victory over Ketu North.
Nkwanta South defeated tournament hosts Ho Municipal 3-0.
In Group B, Adaklu District secured the bonus point after a 2-2 draw with Kadjebi District was settled 5-4 on penalties.
The Group B match between Ketu South and Ho West ended 0-0 at halftime.
The match couldn’t continue due to poor visibility as games ran late into the evening.
The remaining 45 minutes will be played at 8:00am, tomorrow as Day 2 fixtures continue at the Youth Resource Center from 8:00 am.
