The Regional FA U-17 Inter-District Championship got intensified on Day 2 as district teams fight for place in the semi-finals.
It is tight in Group A after two rounds of matches.
Nkwanta South lead the group with 6 points from 2 wins. They have scored 8 goals and conceded none for a +8 goal difference.
South Tongu are second on 6 points with 1 win and 1 loss, scoring 8 and conceding 3 for a +5 GD.
Ho Municipal also have 6 points but have played 3 games.
They have 2 wins, 1 loss, 6 goals scored and 3 conceded for a +3 GD. Ketu North are 4th.
Group B: South Dayi and Ketu South perfect
South Dayi and Ketu South* are the teams to beat in Group B after winning their opening two games.
South Dayi top the group on goals scored with 6 points, 4 goals for, 1 against and a +3 GD.
Ketu South are second with 6 points, 2 goals for and no goal conceded for a +2 GD. They are the only team yet to concede in the tournament.
Adaklu District, host of the competition sit 3rd with 2 points from 1 draw and 1 loss.
Kadjebi District has 1 point. Ho West are bottom with 0 points from 2 defeats.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The Final group games today will determine who progresses.
The VRFA U-17 Inter-District Championship is the region’s main platform for identifying and developing young talent for Regional representation.
