The start of the 2026/27 Volta Division Two League season has been postponed.
The postponement is necessitated by the MTN FA Cup fixtures.
The maiden Super Clash between Volta FA Cup winners, Dynamo FC and Division Two Middle League runners-up, Yadzo Oti Warriors, will now take place on 31 October.
The fixture is to mark the start of the new regional season.
The decision was taken to avoid a clash with this weekend’s Preliminary MTN FA Cup matches involving regional clubs.
In view of this, Matchday One of the Division Two League will now be held on 7 November.
The Division Two League is the highest level of regional football in Ghana and provides a pathway to the national Division One League.
Seventy-eight clubs will compete in the 2026/27 campaign, divided into nine zones across three sectors, Central, Southern and Northern.
Fixtures for the season are expected to be announced in the coming days.
