The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) will open the 2026/27 season with its maiden Super Clash at the Ho Sports Stadium on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
The fixture, which will serve as a curtain-raiser for the Division Two League, will see 2025/26 Volta FA Cup champions Dynamo FC-Ho face Yadzo Oti Warriors, who finished as first runners-up in last season’s Division Two Middle League.
It is the first time the Association is organising such a fixture as part of its vision to make Volta a model region for grassroots football development.
The match is intended to set the tone for what is expected to be a vibrant and competitive campaign, bringing together two of the region’s most outstanding sides from last season.
Dynamo FC-Ho, a former Division One League side, go into the game with momentum, having qualified for the round of 64 of the 2026/27 MTN FA Cup as one of the top Division Two clubs in the region.
Yadzo Oti Warriors also enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, finishing as runners-up in the Middle League. They too have qualified for the round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup.
The Volta FA is calling on football enthusiasts, club officials, supporters and stakeholders across the Volta and Oti regions to attend what it describes as a historic encounter and a celebration of the start of the new season.
