Volta FA pays tribute to Mohammed Haruna Muniru

The Volta Regional Football Association(VRFA) paid tribute to the late Mr. Mohammed Haruna Muniru with a minute of silence ahead of the official opening ceremony of the Middle League.

In honour of his memory and immense contribution to the game, the opening ceremony was dedicated to him, with ceremonial balloon cuttings.

The balloon cutting was led by the Hon. Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu who cut the first balloon for the fallen hero.

The second balloon was cut by the patron of Volta Regional Football Association, Mr. Justus Ayivor, followed by the RFA Chairman, Mr. Daniel Agbogah.

The last but one was cut by Mr. Martin Davidson of Mart ‘D’ Electricals, sponsors of the Division Two League, while Hon. Kobina Woyome, a former MP for South Tongu, performed the fifth balloon cutting.

The ceremony served as a touching moment of remembrance and respect for a man whose passion and commitment to football will never be forgotten.

 

Until his passing in the early hours of Friday, Mr. Haruna Muniru was the Founder of Yadzo Oti Warriors FC and a dedicated figure in the football fraternity.

May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
