The Volta FA Cup Committee has conducted the draw for the Round of 16 stage of the 2023/2024 competition on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the RFA Secretariat in Ho.
The draw resulted in some interesting match-ups across the region.
This stage of the competition is the money-making zone where qualified teams will earn GHC 300 each for the first time since the inception of the Volta FA CUP.
The draw produced some exciting fixtures, including WAFA SC (a former Ghana Premier League side) against Winning Stars from Dabala, Kpetoe Diamond FC against Dzemeni-based African Stars, and Dynamo FC facing off against Volta Freedom Fighters.
In addition, Aflao-based Agbogba FC will play against former Division One side, Agbozume Weavers, at Denu St. Paul’s Park.
Other fixtures include Akatsi Kickers FC vs Keta FC, Eleven Wonders vs Sons of Thunder FC, and Akpini Stars vs Burning Stars FC.
The games are scheduled for May 1st and 2nd, 2024, respectively.
