Keta FC loses Middle League match to Yingor FC over unpaid fines.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has ruled that Keta FC forfeited their 2025/2026 Volta Regional Division Two Middle League match against Yingor FC due to unpaid fines.

The ruling followed a protest filed by Yingor FC over the match played on 26 May 2026 at the Ho Sports Stadium, which ended 3-2 in favour of Keta FC.

Yingor FC argued that Keta FC had not settled two outstanding fines totaling GH₵1,000 before the fixture, in breach of league regulations.

The Committee found that Keta FC failed to pay a GH₵500 fine from a 2024 case against Selion FC and a GH₵500 fine from a March 2026 case against Nugata FC.

Citing Article 37(8)(c) of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations and Rule 4(b) of the 2025/2026 Volta RFA Middle League Special Rules, the Committee ruled that Keta FC shall be considered to have lost the match.

The lost points will not be credited to Yingor FC or any other party.

The Committee further ordered that Keta FC will forfeit any points accumulated in the 2025/2026 Volta Regional Division Two Middle League and any other GFA/RFA competition until the fines are fully paid.
