New District Executive Council in South Tongu, Keta and Ho sworn into office

The Volta Regional Football Association Chairman, Daniel Agbogah has advised stakeholders of the South Tongu District Football Association to remain united and committed to football development in the District.

He said this during the swearing-in ceremony of the Executive Council Members of the South Tongu and Keta DFAs at Sogakope on Friday, 6th April 2024.

In his address, the chairman lauded stakeholders for their hard work over the past 4 years to revive and promote football in the District.

He urged members of the DFA to remain committed to ensuring absolute unity among them for the development of football in the District and the region as a whole.

“On behalf of the Executive Council of the Regional Football Association, I wish to thank all of you for your commitment and hard work to revive Football in the South Tongu District.  I must say that South Tongu is the leading District when discussing District Football programs in both the Volta and Oti Regions. I wish to advise you to remain united and committed to working harder to improve the work of the DFA. I have never seen any meaningful development as a division. It is impossible to say that we will not have issues in the game, but I urge you to remain resolute and united in handling issues.  Unity is the surest way we can make progress and is the fundamental principle of the game” the Chairman said.

A similar program also took place in Ho for the Ho Municipal Football Association.

An Interim Management Committee (IMC) was formed for the two Districts to steer the affairs of their respective associations until such time elections are organized for the vacant Chairmanship position of the two DFAs.
