The inaugural Volta FA Inter Districts Championship came to a thrilling end on Wednesday, 17th July, 2024, with eleven District Football Associations participating in the competition. The participating districts include Ho, South Tongu, Kedjebi, Akatsi North, Kpando, Keta, Hohoe, Central Tongu, South Danyi, and Ketu North.
In a nail-biting finale, Kadjebi District emerged victorious, defeating South Tongu District 5-4 in a penalty shootout. The tournament aimed to identify talented young players for the upcoming KGL U17 national tournament.
After a thorough scouting process, 36 talented players were selected to join the camp, which is scheduled to resume on Thursday, July 18th, 2024.
The RFA Chairman, Daniel Agbogah, extended his congratulations to all districts that participated in the tournament and assured them that, God willing, the next edition of the tournament will be improved and much better.
This historic championship marks a significant milestone in the development of young football talent in the Volta and Oti Regions.
The Champion walked away with trophy and medals with a beautiful KGL designed plaques presented to Prince Asiedu and Agbomadzi Godwin of Kedjebi District who emerged best player and top goal scorer respectively.
