Beach Soccer AFCON: Volta FA Chairman Charges Black Sharks to Qualify

Volta Regional Football Association Chairman, Mr. Daniel Agbogah, has challenged Ghana’s Beach Soccer National Team, the Black Sharks, to qualify for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations and make the nation proud.

Mr. Agbogah made the call during a visit to the team’s camp in Keta, where he donated bottles of mineral water and refreshments ahead of their qualifier return leg against Nigeria on Sunday at the Emancipation Beach.

“We challenge you to qualify and make Ghana proud,” he said.

“We believe in you. The Volta Region is a blessed land and God will not disappoint us. We believe that by the grace of God, you will qualify.”

Mr. Agbogah said he was proud that the Volta Region is hosting the qualifier and felt the need to show his support in person.

“We are hosting the AFCON qualifiers here and I feel so proud, and I thought there was the need to come and show my face and support,” he said.

“We are here to let you know that the good work you have done in Nigeria has not gone unnoticed. We believe that when you work harder, it will be easy for us.”

“The entire region is behind you. We believe in you and we want you to go out there and make Ghana proud.”

The Black Sharks go into the game on the back of a 3-3 draw in the first leg in Nigeria.

Mr. Agbogah also met and welcomed Nigeria’s Sand Eagles to Keta and assured them of a warm reception and a comfortable stay.

He was accompanied by Regional Executive Council members, Mr. Wisdom Junior Bakah and Mr. Martin Torku, as well as the Team Manager for the Black Sharks and Beach Soccer Management Committee member, Mr. Reuben Dzidodo Adjahoe.
