Hon. Kobina Woyome Pays Affiliation Fees for South Tongu District FA Colts Teams

Hon. Kobina Woyome, the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Tongu has stepped in to pay affiliation fees for all the Colts league teams in the district.

The kind gesture from the Hon. MP is in line with his support for the development of Colts football in the South Tongu District.

A total sum of 3,400.00 Ghana Cedis was enough to settle the fees for 17 Colts teams who are poised to play in this season’s U17 Colts league in the district.

Hon. Woyome who recently donated a trophy to the Volta Regional Football Association women’s middle league has over the years been supportive to football in the district and the region as a whole.

The MP also doubles as a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports in Ghana’s Parliament.

The motivation from the MP comes at the right time for the Colts league clubs to play football as the Ghana Football Association’s aim of developing colts and grassroot football has been well received by individuals and cooperate bodies across the country.

A grateful South Tongu District Football Association chairman expressed his joy for the kind gesture by the Hon. MP for stepping in to pay the affiliation fees for the respective teams playing the Colts league in the district.
