Keta FC Appeal Dismissed as GFA Upholds VRFA Decision
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee, sitting as the Appellate Committee, has dismissed Keta FC’s appeal against the decision of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) Disciplinary Committee concerning the club’s Middle League fixture against Yingor FC.
The Committee upheld the VRFA’s ruling that Keta FC breached the VRFA Middle League Special Rules by participating in the competition without first settling outstanding league fines.
It found that Article 4(b) of the Special Rules makes the forfeiture of points automatic in such circumstances and ruled that the sanctions imposed were consistent with the applicable regulations.
Consequently, the appeal was dismissed, the VRFA Disciplinary Committee’s decision of 27 May 2026 was affirmed, the match result between Yingor FC and Keta FC remains annulled, and all sanctions against Keta FC remain in force.
