The Ketu South District Football Association (KSDFA) has become the latest to implement the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) “Catch Them Young” referee policy.
The policy’s implementation in the Ketu South District has seen young referees take charge of juvenile league matches, which commenced on April 5, 2025.
An initiative, championed by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, aimed at developing young referees across various districts and municipalities.
As the league enters its third week, the performance of these young referees has drawn attention and praise from football enthusiasts in the area, with many encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in their chosen careers.
This innovative approach has been successfully rolled out under the supervision of Regional Football Associations. (RFAs)
Young referees have seen and elevation since its inception, contributing to the overall development of grassroots football in Ghana.
