Ketu South District has been crowned champions of the third Volta Regional Football Association U-17 Inter District Championship after defeating Nkwanta South in the final at the Youth Resource Center.
The team in green and blue showed composure and teamwork throughout the tournament to lift the ultimate prize and be crowned the best U-17 side in the Volta Region.
The championship brought together U-17 teams from nine District FAs and forms part of VRFA’s grassroots agenda to identify and develop young talents for the region and beyond.
Individual brilliance was also recognized at the closing ceremony:
Best Player Emmanuel Ajanor (Nkwanta South) Presented by Chairman Barson Foli.
Goal King: Tabimba Elisha (Nkwanta South) 5 Goals Presented by Chairman Barson Foli.
Best Goalkeeper: Azalekor Kofi Martinez (Ketu South) Presented by Chairman Barson Foli
The Runner-Up trophy for Nkwanta South was presented by Chairman Barson Foli, while the Championship trophy and winners’ medals for Ketu South were presented by the MCE, for Nkwanta South, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi.
Speaking at the event, VRFA Chairman Daniel Agbogah congratulated all teams and commended Ketu South for their performance.
