Team Volta’s U-17 side faced a tough challenge in the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship, finishing fourth after a narrow 1-0 loss to the Northern Region in the third-place match at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
Despite their best efforts, Tteam Volta couldn’t secure a win, marking their second loss to the Northern Region in the tournament.
The decisive moment came in the 85th minute when Musah Ahmed Sharafadeen scored for the Northern Region, dashing Team Volta’s hopes of a strong finish.
Sharafadeen was deservedly named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.
Team Volta will regroup and focus on next year’s tournament.
The KGL tournament aims to identify and develop young talents for Ghana’s national and premier youth teams.
