Volta Middle League: Togbui Tenuvi Pledges Support for Finalists

The Development Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Togbui Tenuvi I, has pledged financial and material support to the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) ahead of the Volta Middle League final.

The support package was announced during a meeting with VRFA Chairman Daniel Agbogah and members of the Association’s Executive Council.

Togbui Tenuvi said the champions of the Middle League would receive GHS10,000, while the runners-up would be awarded GHS5,000. Both finalist clubs will also receive a set of jerseys and two footballs each.

The gesture is aimed at motivating the competing teams and enhancing the quality of competition at the decisive stage of the Volta Regional Division Two League season.

Chairman Daniel Agbogah described the intervention as a timely boost for grassroots football development in the region.

He added that support of this nature helps ease the financial burden on clubs while contributing to higher standards of competition.

Togbui Tenuvi said his commitment is driven by a desire to support the development of young footballers and create opportunities for talented players to progress.

He also stressed the need for improved sporting infrastructure across the Volta Region and pledged to support efforts aimed at providing facilities that can aid talent identification and development.

The support adds to growing efforts by stakeholders to strengthen football development in the region.

The VRFA expressed appreciation for the gesture and confirmed that the rewards will be presented to the finalists during the Volta Middle League final on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Ho Sports Stadium.

The winner of the Volta Middle League will secure promotion to Ghana’s National Division One League.
