Volta Falls to Eastern in KGL U-17 Championship Semifinals

In a tense second semi-final match of the KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Colts Championship, Volta Region’s U-17 team suffered a heartbreaking 3-1 penalty shootout loss to Eastern Region’s U-17 team, following a goalless draw in regulation time.

The highly competitive encounter saw Team Volta commit a few errors and struggle with being outnumbered by their opponents. Despite making strategic changes to turn the game around, they were unable to find the back of the net, leading to a penalty shootout after the full-time whistle.

Unfortunately, Volta Region’s Aglago George, Tsey Lucky, and Tengey Bismarck failed to convert their spot kicks, ssecuring the Eastern Region’s qualification for their first-ever final appearance against the Western Region.

Goalkeeper Bless Amedorme was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the Match for his impressive saves.

Volta Region will now face Northern Region in the third-place match on Thursday morning, preceding the final
