The second batch of the GFA Free Licence “D” Coaching Course in the Volta Region has successfully concluded.
The training program which took place at the Volta Youth Resource Center in Adaklu attracted Juvenile Coaches from various football districts of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA).
The week-long training was led by the highly respected instructor, Mr. Burton Asare, with support from regional instructors Simon Kpewu and Nana Bodua.
They provided a comprehensive blend of theory and practical lessons covering fundamental modules of grassroots coaching techniques youth development strategies, injury prevention, and player safety.
During the short closing ceremony, Mr. Burton Asare acknowledged the participants, stating that he witnessed the expected outcomes along with some pleasant surprises.

He thanked the GFA President, Mr. Kurt Okraku and expressed confidence that the program would yield positive results.
He advised the coaches to remain humble and let their work speak for itself, cautioning that the moment they believe they know everything will mark the end of their coaching careers.
The Volta FA Chairman also commended the conduct of the participants, noting their discipline throughout the week-long program and expressing confidence that the young players are in safe hands.

Mr. Agbogah is optimistic about the next edition’s inter-district juvenile championship, given the backgrounds of the coaches who underwent training.
He expressed gratitude towards the instructors for their time, patience, and the knowledge they imparted.
He anticipates positive feedback from the districts where the coaches are stationed and hopes they propagate the good intentions of the GFA.

Furthermore, he encouraged participants to share their ideas and opinions with the leadership of the Regional FA, which is committed to listening to constructive criticism.
Course Representative and Leader of the participants, Goodness Bright Mighty who spoke on behalf of his fellow particpants expressed gratitude to the GFA President for the opportunity given them to participate in the program for free and promised to put it in good use for the development of football in the Volta Region and Ghana at large.
The GFA Free Licensed D coaching program is part of the GFA’s nationwide initiative to build the technical capacity of grassroots coaches, especially those working with juvenile players.
