Abutia Prestige FC has been found guilty of multiple misconduct charges following their Match Day 11 League game against Lokoe Diamond FC at Ho Sports Stadium on 15 February 2026.
The ruling by the Disciplinary Committee comes after the club pleaded guilty to all charges relating to unsporting behaviour and failure to provide adequate security during and after the match.
According to the Committee’s findings, Abutia Prestige FC breached several provisions of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019) and the GFA Regional Football Association Leagues Regulations, including,
1. Misconduct during the match against Lokoe Diamond FC, constituting unsporting behaviour.
2. Failure to provide uniform security, which contributed to post-match violence and misconduct by players and supporters.
3. Actions that undermined the integrity and image of the Volta Regional Division Two League.
The Committee has thus fined Abutia Prestige FC an amount of GHC 1,000, payable to the RFA within 14 days of receiving the ruling, and has stressed the importance of strict adherence to league regulations to preserve the fairness and safety of matches in the ongoing Volta Division Two League.
