Lokoe Diamond FC have been fined GHC500 following violent incidents after their Division Two League match with Abutia Prestige FC on Match Day 11 at the Ho Sports Stadium on 15 February 2026.
The Disciplinary Committee found Lokoe Diamond guilty of breaching Article 12 of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019) and Article 34(1)(b) of the GFA Regional FA Leagues Regulations.
Reports indicated that players and team officials engaged in misconduct after the final whistle, actions described by the Committee as “unnecessary” and damaging to the integrity of the league.
Lokoe Diamond denied the charges, stating that the match was calm and that the post-match chaos arose when supporters of the home side attempted to attack one of their technical officials.
The club also confirmed that player Maxwell Agbagba sustained injuries during the incident and reiterated their commitment to maintaining discipline by temporarily banning supporters from travelling to matches.
Despite the defence, the Committee ruled that the club failed to control its players and officials, upholding all charges.
Alongside the 500 cedi fine, Lokoe Diamond have been warned to maintain good behaviour in future matches, with more severe sanctions possible if further incidents occur.
The Volta FA is committed to enforcing discipline and ensuring the integrity of the Division Two League.
Attached is the decision of the committee.
