African Stars and Nine Others Relegated in the Volta FA Division Two League

African Stars Football Club has suffered relegation following the end of the first phase of the ongoing 2023/24 Division Two League.

The new entrants gained promotion after emerging second in the playoffs of the HMFA Division Three Middle League last season,

Paired in Central Sector Zone A, they faced stiff opposition such as Kpetoe Diamond FC, Selion FC, Akoefe United, and the like.

After 16 games played, the Dzemeni boys accumulated 19 points, one point below Avedzi United who had 20 points to survive the relegation threat.

African Stars FC will thus return to division three and compete for a possible comebac.

In all, 9 teams across all Zones and Sectors have been relegated as it was agreed at the Regional Congress before the start of the 2023/24 league season.

The relegated teams include: Great Swift Pro from Southern Sector A Zone A,  Wonder Club and Hands Are Blessed from Southern Sector A Zone B,

Soccer Masters and Winning Stars from the Southern Sector B Zone A,  Galaxy FC, and Monaco FC from the Southern Sector B Zone B, African Stars FC from the Central Sector A,  and Spiders FC fr Central Sector B).

Northern Sectors have Eka Academy and Nkonya All-Stars also being relegated.

However, Maranatha FC, Zion Shooters FC, and Aka Future Stars pulled out before the start of the league.
