The Disciplinary Committee of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has imposed sanctions on Diamond FC and West African Football Academy Soccer Club (WAFA SC) for misconduct during the final of the 2024/25 Volta Regional Division Two Middle League played at the Youth Resource Center on the 15th of June 2025.
After charges prefered on the clubs, fans of both teams found to have invaded the playing field when goals were scored during the final match, an action that amounted to unsporting behaviour and in the case of Diamond Stars FC fans were further found to have perpetrated violence after the said match which marred the beauty of the programme.
In view of this, Lokoe Diamond FC has been fined GH¢3000 and will play their home matches at a venue with an inner perimeter with adequate security arrangements as a result of the misconduct.
Whereas WAFA SC, on the other hand, has been fined GH¢1000, in view of the fact that thier supporters invaded the field of play when the team scored their goals during the said match of the final of the Volta Regional Middle League, an action that amounted to unsporting behaviour and misconduct.
