The Disciplinary Committee has dismissed a protest filed by Avedzi United FC against Dzemeni Maranatha FC over allegations of fielding an unqualified player in their March 1, 2026 Division Two League match.
Avedzi United claimed that a different player impersonated registered player Freeman Kporti, but failed to provide sufficient and valid evidence.
The Committee ruled that the photographic evidence did not meet regulatory standards and confirmed through FIFA Connect records that Freeman Kporti is a registered and eligible player.
As a result, the match outcome stands. Avedzi United FC has also been fined GHC 500 for misleading the Committee and must pay within 10 days or face further sanctions.
