Inter Allies Wins Volta FA Cup to End Season With Double.

Inter Allies FC extended their winning streak by securing the Adonai Estate Volta FA Cup, claiming their second consecutive title with a hard-fought 0-1 victory over Agbozume United at the Ho Sports Stadium.

Narh Michael’s lone goal in the 83rd minute made the difference in the regulation time for “Eleven is to One” to make history.

A slippery pitch after some showers in the afternoon could not allow the two teams to play their usual football. Inter Allies despite the pitch condition found means to threaten the defense of their opponents but Agbozume Weavers were able to shield their defense to concede any goal in the first half.

Agbozume Weavers took their turn to take the lead but the ever presence of the Inter Allies goalie was up to the task to keep his team in the game.

Back from recess, Inter-Allies took the game to Weavers in search of a goal. Their efforts paid off in the dying minute after their opponent’s defense could not stop the attacking moves which found Narh at thethe right spot to convert the only goal.

Charles Xorve-Mensah of Agbozume Weavers was adjudged the man of the match after the full-time whistle. 

The win has earned Inter Allies two trophies in their cabinet from the 2023/24 league season, a good feat for the club.

They will play in this season’s Division One league as they emerged champions of the Volta Regional Division Two Middle League.

Inter Allies FC joins the defunct Volta Rangers as the only team to have achieved this impressive double, winning both the Volta Division Two Middle League and Volta FA Cup trophies.
