The Queen of Bake, Ho Bankoe in the Asogli State, Mama Bobi III, ceremonially presented the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) Division Two trophy ahead of the Mart ‘D’ Electricals Regional Middle League final between Nukunu FC and Yadzo Oti Warriors at the Ho Sports Stadium.

The presentation marked the conclusion of the trophy’s successful tour across the Volta and Oti Regions, a key initiative aimed at engaging participating clubs, supporters, traditional authorities and local communities ahead of the highly anticipated Middle League.
The trophy tour, which commenced on 18 May 2026, visited all eight clubs that qualified for this year’s Regional Middle League, creating excitement and strengthening community involvement in grassroots football across the Volta and Oti regions.

Ho, the final destination of the tour and Middle League venue provided a fitting ceremonial presentation before the decisive clash between Nukunu FC and Yadzo Oti Warriors, with promotion to the national Division One League at stake.
Mama Bobi III’s participation added an important cultural mix with a classic dimension to the occasion which emphasised the role of traditional leadership in promoting sports development and community engagement.

Her presence illustrated a strong partnership between football and traditional institutions in fostering unity and social progress.
The trophy presentation formed part of a colourful pre-match ceremony that displayed the rich cultural heritage of the Volta Region while recognising the dedication and achievements of clubs, players, officials and stakeholders throughout the season.
The Volta FA continues to leverage football as a tool for development, community engagement, unity, and social impact across the Volta and Oti Regions.

She was enstooled in April, 2022 and holds the title of Afetornyonufia.
Mama Bobi III is involved in advocating for women’s empowerment, education and community development in her jurisdiction and beyond.
Born Angela Attachie, she is currently serving as a circuit court judge at the Madina District Court in Accra.
