Nene Tu-Abra, a divisional chief of Kpetoe in the Agotime Traditional Area, has appealed to the Volta Regional Football Association for league matches to return to the town.
He made the appeal during the Volta FA Trophy Tour’s stop in Kpetoe, where officials, players and Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) officers had gathered to welcome the trophy.

The Chief also asked for two Diamond FC players to be reinstated after an impersonation issue last year, saying their return would strengthen both the team and Kpetoe’s representation in the competition.
In response, the Volta FA Chairman, Daniel Agbogah corrected the misconception surrounding how the Regional FA had banned the team.
He explained that the players had been queried for wrongdoing in the FIFA Connect system and said the Club had not yet met the Ghana Football Association’s requirements to rectify the matter.

Mr Agbogah urged the Club to follow the proper process to resolve the issue.
He commended Diamond FC for showing resilience despite the concerns surrounding last year’s Middle League final.
He added that the tour was using football to promote youth development, discipline, unity and climate action through its “Kick for the Planet” campaign.

A.S.M. Fredrick Mordzinu of the CEPS Training School also addressed the team, stressing that unity and discipline were key to success.
“Unity can make the team hold because you are diamonds,” he said.
“As a true diamond, you need to go through rigorous training. Focus on the trophy, we want to see the trophy in Kpetoe,” he added.

Nene Tu-Abra, Volta FA Chairman Daniel Agbogah, and Staff Officer of the CEPS Academy, Patrick Yeboah, took part in a symbolic tree-planting exercise at the CEPS Training School.
The Kpetoe stop was the second visit of Day 2, following an earlier stop in Dzemeni.

The trophy is touring all eight qualified teams in their districts and municipalities ahead of the upcoming Middle League slated for 23 -31 May, 2026, with the official launch set for Ho on Friday, 22 May, 2026.
The tour continues to Tadzewu and Keta on Wednesday for Day 3.
