The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) and the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu have agreed to replace the second edition of the Regional Minister’s Cup with the U19 “Justify Your Inclusion” exercise slated for August 16, 2024.
This decision follows a careful review meeting held with the Regional Minister who expressed that the U19 programme is in line with his vision for the development of young people in the region through football.
He further explained that his vision for the competition is to assist young talent make a living through football while promoting peace and love in the region through football.
This means that the selected players for the U19 Justify Your Inclusion exercise would be classified under their respective zones to compete for trophy, medals, and other prizes while also being selected to form the Volta U19 team that will represent the region at the upcoming GFA Elite U19 Championship scheduled for 24th to 30th August 2026.
The VRFA and the Regional Minister believe that the replacement will play a valuable role in nurturing talent and building successful careers in football.
