In an exciting finale, South Tongu District Football Association (STDFA) has emerged champions of the U-17 category of the Inter-District Juvenile Championship after defeating Afadzato District 2-0 at the Ho Sports Stadium in Ho.
The championship, aimed at identifying and developing talent from various districts, displayed skilled young footballers under the Volta Regional Football Association, who impressed many spectators and scouts throughout the week-long tournament.
As winners, the team received a trophy, footballs, and sets of jerseys, as promised by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, during the opening ceremony.
Hon. James Gunu congratulated the team on their impressive victory and expressed his continuous commitment to supporting initiatives that promote sports development in the region.

South Tongu District has set a high standard for themselves, following its successful back to back wins as a district, the qualification of Inter Allies FC and WAFA SC to the national division one league before the U-17 Inter District Juvenile Championship.
The 2025 U-15 and U-17 Inter-District Juvenile Championship provides a valuable platform for young players from the district to exhibit their skills with the opportunity to be spotted by scouts, join the regional team, and potentially receive a national call-up to the Junior teams.
