Volta FA Trophy Tour Concludes in Kpetoe.

The Volta FA Trophy Tour reached an exciting conclusion in Kpetoe in the Agortime Ziope District, with the official launch of the Regional Middle League.

The final stop in Kpetoe, home of Kpetoe Diamond FC was a fitting conclusion to the journey. 

Regional Football Association Chairman, Daniel Agbogah, remarked that football has evolved beyond mere competition to offer societal benefits.

He recounted how Kpetoe Diamond FC has made the community proud, having achieved success in the preliminary stages by being crowned champions of their sector.

He appealed for office space and equipment for the District FA, as well as a dedicated playing field for the Agortime Ziope District.

Nene Akoto Sah VII expressed his joy over Diamond FC’s achievements, assuring the team of their support and encouraging them to get closer to the chiefs, and strive for excellence to elevate the name of the Agortime Ziope District.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Alfred Eklu Odikro, pledged his personal support to the team, wishing them success and hoping that the trophy returns to the district.

He also requested that the Regional FA communicate with the referees to ensure fair conduct during the tournament.

Maxwell Agbagba, captain of Kpetoe Diamond FC, assured the community that the team would persist to return with the trophy, and he urged the community for their continued support.

The trophy tour which commenced on June 2, 2025, in Kadjebi, in the Oti Region has ended successfully.

Throughout the tour, the trophy made stops in various districts and municipalities, generating excitement and anticipation for the Regional Middle League, which is scheduled for June 7-15, 2025.

The Trophy Tour is in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in the Volta Region, aimed at promoting tourism through football.
