Day 3 of the Volta FA Trophy Tour brought the team to the Akatsi South and North districts, home to renowned football clubs Akatsi Kickers FC and Nugata FC respectively.
In Akatsi, the trophy tour team was warmly welcomed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Daniel Dagba, who expressed great excitement about the initiative.

The area, known for its passion for football, largely due to the past glories of the Akatsi All-Stars team, whose time in Division One lit up the district’s sporting spirit.
District FA Chairman Eric Ahiabu welcomed the entourage and wished the gathering a successful event.
Chairman Daniel Agbogah expressed salutations from the football community, acknowledging the ongoing progress of the sport in the region, which has fostered a fruitful partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority.
The captain of Akatsi Kickers FC, Kpozo Juile, assured the Akatsi community that the team is fully committed to the Middle League and promised to bring the trophy back home.

He also expressed the community’s sadness regarding the recent challenges faced by the Akatsi All-Stars FC and vowed to restore joy by returning a First Division slot to Akatsi.
Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Daniel Dagba expressed his enthusiasm for the trophy tour, stating his belief that the trophy will return to Akatsi successfully.
He challenged the team to fight hard and reach the finals on June 15, as he has an exciting package prepared for them.
He promised that during his tenure, the District FA would acquire office space and equipment to enhance the management of football in Akatsi.

He also mentioned that a football field in Akatsi would soon materialize, as discussions to secure land for the project are in progress.
The next stop for the tour is Ave Dakpa in the Akatsi North District, home of Nugata FC.
This tour is in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in the Volta region, with the goal of promoting tourism through football.
