The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has announced November 14, 2025, as the start date for the Volta Regional Division Two League.
The official announcement was made by the VRFA chairman, Daniel Agbigah, at the Ordinary Session of Congress on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Municipal Assembly Hall in Ho.
“Because of the World Cup, our league cannot go beyond May, even with that there will be one or two midweek games before we can catch up, we should start preparation now and I think 14th is okay,” Mr. Agbogah said.
The Division Two League is set to feature over 88 clubs competing in the region’s top-tier competition.
This season will introduce the Competition Management System (CMS) for the first time, with training sessions scheduled for November 2-4, 2025, with a possible league launch.
The Volta Regional Division Two League is highly regarded, with many considering it one of the best among Ghana’s 10 football regions.
Ordinary Session of Congress is an assembly of football stakeholders to make major decisions and usher in a new football season.
