Following support from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has presented twenty-five officiating whistles (FOX 40) and twenty flags to five (5) District Football Associations (DFAs) to aid in the development of the Catch Them Young refereeing policy.
The items were handed over by Mr. Daniel Agbogah, the Chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association to the newly created football districts for the training of young referees.
More than 50 new Catch Them Young Referees will be recruited and trained to add to the existing 112 Catch Them Young Referees in the region.
The Volta FA is expected to train more referees across the districts.
The DFAs that received the items include Agortime-Ziope, Akatsi North, Keta Municipal, and Ketu North.
