The Volta Regional Football Association (RFA) Beach Soccer Committee has outlined an ambitious season programme for the 2026/27 calendar year, with a strong focus on strengthening the Region’s position as Ghana’s premier destination for beach soccer.
The programme, presented to the Committee by the Member in Charge of Technical and Competitions, Innocent Kumensah, has been endorsed by the Committee and will serve as the framework for the development and promotion of beach soccer across the Volta Region.
Key components of the programme include the 2026/27 Regional Beach Soccer League, the Hogbe Cup, an international beach soccer tournament, and a number of capacity-building and grassroots development initiatives.
Chairman of the Volta RFA Beach Soccer Committee, Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe, said the programme would provide a clear roadmap for the Committee’s work throughout the season.
“Our focus is to structurally develop beach soccer at every level in the region and re-establish Volta as the central beach soccer destination in Ghana and the West African sub-region.”
He noted that the Committee’s approach would go beyond competition to include coach and referee development, school programmes, women and girls’ participation, stakeholder engagement and international exposure.

The Committee believes the implementation of the programme will create a more structured pathway for players, coaches, referees and clubs while expanding participation at the grassroots level.
With Volta’s rich history and strong identity in beach soccer, the Committee is seeking to build on this foundation and position the Region as a year-round hub for beach soccer development, competition, talent identification and sports tourism.
