Four clubs, Maranatha FC, Golden Stars FC, Diamond FC, and Sunset FC have emerged as the successful sides that have officially booked their places in the Sub-Middle of the ongoing Volta FA Division Two League from the Central Sector.
The quartet will compete in the Sub-middle League scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 April 2026 at the Ho Sports Stadium where promotion to the Regional Middle League will be at stake.
Maranatha FC secured qualification after a consistent run of performances, in the Central Sector A with 27 points after 13 rounds of matches in a group of eight.
The Dzemeni-based side qualified alongside Diamond FC, who are last season’s runners-up in the Regional Middle League.
Diamond FC, maintaining the same zeal of last season came through with their strong form to qualify with 23 points as the second-placed team in the sector.
Both teams showed defensive discipline and attacking efficiency throughout the qualifiers.
In the Central Sector B, Sunset FC topped the table with a spirited campaign from the beginning of the season, completing the preliminaries with 28 points losing just once, in 13 games, underlining their growing status in the Regional Division Two League.
Also, representing Abutia Kloe is an impressive Golden Stars FC, with their resilience, edging out close contests and defying all odds to claim a spot in the Sub-Middle league with 26 points after 12 games shy of an outstanding match against Akoefe United.
This is the first time Sunset FC and Golden Stars are qualifying for the Sub-Middle League.
In what promises to be a tight contest, the Central Sector is expected to deliver an intense competition with all four teams aiming to progress but only two teams will make it to the Regional Middle League as they chase a place in the National Division One League.
