The Volta Regional Football Association (RFA) wishes to extend its sincerest apologies for the unacceptable act of hooliganism that marred the final of the Volta Regional Division Two Middle League at the Youth Resource Center.
The behavior exhibited by some individuals and fans was inexcusable and tarnished the spirit of the game.
We condemn such actions and dissociate ourselves from any acts that bring the game of football into disrepute.
The Volta FA has met with security authorities and commenced investigations into the incident.
The matter has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee to take appropriate actions.
The Executive Council has visited the injured lady and is pleased to report that she is responding to treatment.
We are also providing financial support to cover her medical expenses.
The Volta RFA remains committed to promoting safety, sportsmanship, and fair play in all our matches.
We will continue to work with stakeholders to prevent such incidents and ensure that football remains a positive force in our community.
