Sunset FA Secures Spot in Division Two; Ho Coat FC Triumphs in HMFA U-17 League.

Sunset Football Academy has made it to Division Two after beating fellows, Golden Stars 5-4 on penalties.

The two team displayed good football to the admiration of the thousands of football-loving fans who came to cheer their favorite teams on.

A barren 90 minutes saw both teams missing out on glorious chances. A cagey encounter was the case to describe what was a befitting two finalists making a good stage.

Sunset FA ensured none of the threats from Golden Stars could pose any danger as they tried to shield off all the attacks.

Golden Stars came close to registering the first goal but got saved by the ever-presence goalkeeper of Sunset FA to keep the game barren.

A penalty shootout was the only option after full time to separate the two sides.

It was Sunset who crowned their day with a 5-4 penalty win to lift the coveted trophy as champions of the HMFA Division Three Middle League.

HO COAT DOMINATES HMFA U-17 LEAGUE

At the closing ceremony, Ho Coat Football Club were crowned champions of the Ho Municipal Colts U-17 League, capping off an impressive season where they topped the nine-team league table with an unbeaten record.

With 18 points, 18 goals, and a solitary draw, Ho Coat demonstrated exceptional skill and dominance. The team’s outstanding performance was matched by other remarkably talented teams in the league, including Dynamo Football Academy, VISA, Destiny Stars SC, Asogli SC, Mighty Powers FC, Redeemed SC, Cosmos SC, and Volta Young Eagles, all showcased electrifying displays over the eight-week competition highlighting the future of Volta football.
