Volta FA Champions and newly promoted team WAFA SC will be officially presented with the 2024-25 Volta FA League trophy during a coronation match on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the WAFA Park in Fievie, Sogakofe.
Adzigo Koesim FC, the semi-finalists from the recently concluded Volta FA Cup, will face WAFA SC in this match.
The academy boys made history this season by qualifying with a 100% record in the region, topping it off in a 2-1 victory over Kpetoe Diamond FC in the finals of the Volta Regional FA Middle League, held at the Youth Resource Center.
This marks a back-to-back win for the Southern Sector B and the South Tongu District FA, as Inter Allies FC had qualified from the same zone last season.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm prompt.
WAFA SC will be officially crowned and decorated champions of the region and will represent the Volta Region in the upcoming Division One League Season in Zone 3.
The match between WAFA SC and Adzigo Koesim FC is expected to showcase great sportsmanship and attract fans from across the region to witness WAFA SC’s crowning moment upon their return to top-flight football in the country.
