The Executive Council of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has announced that the 2025/26 Volta Regional Division Two League will commence on October 24, 2025.
This decision was made following an Executive Council meeting held last Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Having assessed work done so far with regards to the development of football in the region, the RFA ExCo took a decision to create new committees to man affairs of the new competitions introduced into the football ecosystem of VRFA, while some of the existing committees would also experience reshuffles to enhance the work of the Football Association in the Volta Region.
Some of the new committees the Executive Council has created include Minister’s Cup Committee, Volta Unity Cup Committee, and another Committee that would be responsible for managing the Regional teams.
The RFA would in due course, publish the calendar for the entire season, as well as the changes made to the sub committees of the RFA.
Other matters discussed during the said meeting include the challenges some clubs are facing with their FIFA Connect registration links blocked, as well as introduction of Competition Management System (CMS) to control irregularities during the league season and a proposed date for congress.
The Executive Council, led by its Chairman Daniel Agbogah is committed not to relent on duty until football development in the Volta Region attains a robust status.
