Volta FA Gets Title Sponsor for FA Cup

The Volta Regional Football Association on Friday 31st March 2023 signed a Ghc 25,000.00 Headline Sponsorship deal with From Home Group of Companies for the Region’s FA Cup competition.

The Regional FA Chairman Daniel Agbogah, who signed the MoU on behalf of the FA, expressed his gratitude to the company for coming on board to support the course of development of football in the Volta and Oti Regions.

“On behalf of the Executive Council of the Regional Football Association, I wish to express my gratitude to From Home Group of Companies for opening their doors to us when we came knocking and we are most grateful to the Director of the Company for his commitment and continuous support to ensure we take Football in our region to the next level,” the RFA Chair remarked.

The Director of From Home Group of Companies Mr Joe Ayivor, who signed for the Company, took a turn to acknowledge the impact of the game of football on society as a whole. He recalled the social and economic benefits of football in Ho and the entire Volta Region in the days of Ho Voradep Football Club.

“We are motivated to support the course of the RFA because we are well aware of the social and economic gains of football to our community. During the days of Ho Voradep Football Club, there was a lot of excitement in the Ho and the entire region, and people were doing business, ” Mr Ayivor said.

He congratulated the RFA Chairman and his Executives for the good work done so far and also challenged them to work harder to get Premier league teams for the region.

 

By this sponsorship, the Regional FA intends to improve the organisation of the Volta FA Cup competition, including but not limited to the nonpayment of Officiating Fees by Clubs for the entire FA Cup competition in the region for the 2022/2023 league season.
This implies that the Volta FA Cup would now be called “Afe Lotto Volta FA Cup” for the 2022/2023 league season.

 

 

The Vice Chairman of the RFA Franklin Caecar Heh, Two Executive Council members, Foster Kudiabor Hamza Mutala and RFA Secretary Promise Ahiagba were all present at the brief ceremony.

Volta FA Cup is a novelty competition introduced by the RFA Executive Council in the 2021/2022 league season.
