The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) organized a Referees’ Technical and Fitness Course on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Mawuli School Hall in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region.
The purpose of the course was to enhance the technical skills of referees in preparation for the upcoming season, which officially begins with the Division Two League on November 9, 2024.
During the course, referees were educated on the Laws of the Game to improve their understanding, minimize errors during matches, and enhance their physical fitness. They were also assessed through examinations.
Mr. Promise Michael Ahaigba, Secretary of the Regional FA, expressed his satisfaction with the attendance and cooperation of the referees. He thanked them for their role in developing football in the region and wished them success as the season approaches.
“Your attendance at this course, along with the course itself, demonstrates our commitment to improving referees’ skills and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable season for all stakeholders,” he stated.
