Yadzo Oti Warriors triumphed over Nugata FC as Selion FC fights back to draw WAFA SC in Group B action

It was never a dull moment at the Ho Sports Stadium in the ongoing Regional Middle League of the Division Two League.

Group B’s fixtures became one of the exciting games that was characterized with series of drama.

The Northern Sector representatives, Yadzo Oti Warriors never ceases to wow the hundreds of spectators who cheered them on despite a goal down in the first half.

Nugata FC in their bid to chase their first win got rewarded from the spot after a player was fouled in the penalty area.

Yadzo Oti Warriors steadily grew in the game as they put their tactics into play.

An equalizer finally came when a cross from the left end found Mudah Mohammed, netting in the leveller.

Few minutes after recess, it was Basit Mohammed of Yadzo Oti Warriors FC who chose himself to take the free kick which in the process doubled their lead.

A 2-1 victory was sealed after center referee, Solomon Doku’s 5 minites dditional time was enough to end the game.

At 3:00pm, WAFA SC and Selion FC got it down the wire with an end to end action.

It was WAFA SC who made their intentions clear to take the lead but their efforts at goals got wasted in the process.

Selion’s defense became busy to march up with the ever-present WAFA SC’s attacks.

The first half came barren despite the show of good football from both sides.

A negotiation of tactics and techniques was the only way for the two teams to ensure the game goes to their favour.

A build-up from WAFA SC in search of goal paid off when Oscar Tamakloe beautifully controlled the ball as he made an easy one passed Selion FC’s marker to deliver a teasing pass to goal scorer, Adeti Evans to put the academy boys in the lead.

The rousing stadium went into a jubilating mood where hope for the sogakope lads is expected to have won.

The joy from WAFA SC was short-lived when Selion FC benefitted from a defensive blunder from WAFA SC’s defense causing them to concede.

Selion FC’s Razak got the leveller in the process to send the game to a draw.

No much chances were created from both sides as the game went to settle at 90 Minutes with a 3-minute additional time.

Qualification to the final in Group B remains unclear as final matches on Thursday is bound to determine who gets the nod for Sunday’s grand finale.
