Nukunu FC has booked a place in the Volta FA Middle League after an impressive run in the ongoing Southern Volta Sub-Middle League.
The Ketu North-based side, popularly known as the “Wonder Boys,” opened their campaign on a strong note with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Keta FC on Thursday.
After racing into a two-goal lead, Nukunu showed resilience to hold on for all three points despite a spirited comeback attempt from the coastal side.

In a decisive second fixture, Nukunu FC once again asserted their dominance over Koesim United, storming into a two-goal lead in the first half—goals that ultimately proved decisive.
The victory ensured they finished top of the table and secured a well-deserved qualification to the Middle League.
The team’s success was backed by massive support, as hundreds of vociferous fans thronged the WAFA Arena to cheer them on.
Their outstanding performances throughout the campaign sparked celebrations among supporters back home.
In other results, Keta FC bounced back strongly to defeat Sesi Edem 2-1, earning their first three points of the competition.
