Selion Master Plan Seals Crucial Win Against Keta FC while WAFA SC Settles For A Draw

Keta FC was again on the losing side in their second game against Selion FC this afternoon.

The Keta boys ahead of the game were hopeful of turning the tides but their hopes remained a mirage after Francis Dzamposu and Eric Amedzor netted twice to carry the day.

Keta FC’s consolation goal came from the spot when Kluvitse Hope Ager displayed goalkeeper Prosper Bedi Kumah to a goal.

It didn’t take long enough for Selion to exert their superiority in the game having recorded their first goal in the 16th minute. Keta FC tried coming into the game but was unable to find the lock.

After recess, Selion FC’s dexterity at play was seen as they made few attempts at goal. It was one of those moments that resulted in the second to put Selion in a comfortable lead.

Keta FC forced extra men to substitute the tired legs in order to neutralize Selion FC’s defense but all went futile. Keta FC’s only goal came later from the spot after center referee William Agbovi awarded a penalty to Keta FC.

Earlier, WAFA SC’s hope to make the second win was shortlived as Sons of Thunder forced the game to a 1-1 draw.

Kofi Marshah was again on the score sheet after neatly burying the ball into the net from the spot without struggle.

The game became a ding-dong affair as WAFA enjoyed the greater possession. A resilient Sons of Thunder ensured all angles of WAFA was sealed to prevent the Sogakope lads scoring another.

Sons of Thunder’s hard work paid off after Sampson Akilu equalized for them to send the ecstasy crowd cheering on. WAFA SC in the hope of making it two made changes as they kept pushing.

An additional time of 4 was not enough for any other goal as the referee brought proceedings to an end.
